Using a Remote VM
Running a Desktop in a VM, and you want to use it from your PC with a little bit more features than just running it in the console window. How do you do it? Use Tiger VNC, SPICE or NoMachine.
Remote access of services. Opening up your Home Lab for somthing is opening up your whole network and all machines on it. Be extreamly caution and be sure you know what you do. Use tunnels and/or VPN when possible. Never open a service directly to the network!

Without DNS nothing works. On any corporate network you will find several DNS server, several NTP servers and a lot of Firewalls. – Shouldn't the lab also have multiples of the core services, just in case.
