The exa-project is unmaintained
The exa-project did hit the end of the road. You should switch to a supported project asap. I found eza and lsd as good candidates, but the choice is, as always, on Linux yours.

TemplateBuilder 5.1
One of my favorite automation tools is my TemplateBuilder. T.Builder Creates a K8s/K0s cluster in minutes. 5.1. includes Debian and Alpine; Dockge, fzf, exa, nala and the K0s installation wizard. It's also faster. I use it daily to create VM's or Kubernetes clusters.

Version 5.0 is released as beta. This is the tool I use to spin up VM's with/with out Docker or other parts. You can use it by just editing a few variables to create VM's or Templates or Kubernetes clusters. New app are Dockge, licenced Docker and Portainer.

PXE is the way to go of booting and installing stuff in a large environments, netboot.xyz is a smart system that handles legacy and UEFI as OS and tools alike. It's the one-stop app for installing or running live images in a lab.
