DNS catastrophe

It's always the DNS - always. Secure your DNS is a vital task and you can't have too many.

At night, I moved virtual machines from one server to another.
Server 5 is old and needs maintenance again.

Then DNS went down

Lost contact to the servers, all of them

Disaster - no. I rigged my trusty Arch PC with another DNS, and then I got the site back in view and all was ok.

The next is to fix server 5 and then set up a second DNS.

No data or apps lost

Mesh Wi-Fi Automatic Update

My wife complained that she couldn't reach some service.

Then, I was unable to reach my servers, not by their FQDN or IP addresses.

I found out that the Deco's are responsible. By removing devices from the network systematically. During the day, I had upgraded the Deco's. Nice update.
All was good again after I re-configured them all.

This actually happens twice.
